SolidGold 104.5 is just like it sounds...songs that went “Gold” or that have stood the test of time. Classics from ‘back when’ that can tug at your heart and make you sing out loud. We have carefully selected music that was created by genuine artists, reflecting the hope and optimism of a time when mid-century America was on top of the world. Passionate, fun, melodic, orchestral, and even sometimes somber, the songs of SolidGold 104.5 FM demonstrate the ethos of an energetic, forward-looking culture destined to produce musical legends.

SolidGold104.5 is ALL LOCAL, ALL THE TIME. Our DJ's and staff live and work in the community. We hold several local events throughout the year including Wingfest, Battles of the Bands, Pet Expo, and more. We also PROUDLY support local music and arts as a media sponsor for Cider Mill Playhouse, KNOW Theatre, and Binghamton University Theatre.

Equinox Broadcasting

Equinox Broadcasting started with a construction permit to build a radio station from the ground up. That became WCDW CooL100 FM in Binghamton, put on the air in 1995 by George Hawras and Barbara Hawras.

Beginning with a small staff, CooL100 (now CooL106.7) quickly gained a loyal listening audience. This allowed Equinox to grow and eventually expand to its current status of eight FM radio stations, with a broadcast reach that spans the entire NY Southern Tier and the Northern Tier of PA, including the Binghamton and Elmira/Corning markets.

Now with more than 30 employees, including many of the area's best and most seasoned broadcast professionals, Equinox Broadcasting is the largest locally owned media group in the Southern Tier with headquarters at 101 Main St. in Johnson City, NY.

Stations include: WCDW-FM "CooL 106.7", WDRE-FM "100.5 The Drive", WCDW-HD2 "SolidGold 104.5", WCDW-HD3 "Hot 92.9", and WCDW-HD4 "Sunny 107.1".
